It is with profound sorrow that we, the Communist Party of Kenya, pay tribute to the life and legacy of Comrade Mahmoud Al-Akkad, a stalwart in the struggle for justice and liberation.

Comrade Al-Akkad, a member of the Central Committee of the Palestinian Communist Party, dedicated his life to the fight against oppression and injustice. Born into a world of turmoil and displacement, he witnessed the atrocities inflicted upon his people and dedicated himself to the cause of freedom.

From joining the Jordanian Communist Party to defending the Suez Canal against aggression, Comrade Al-Akkad's journey was marked by courage and unwavering commitment. Despite facing persecution and imprisonment, he remained resolute in his belief in the inherent rights of all people to live free from oppression.

In 1991, amidst the upheaval of socialism's betrayal, Comrade Al-Akkad played a pivotal role in re-establishing the Palestinian Communist Party, ensuring that the flame of resistance continued to burn bright.

Today, as we mourn his passing, we also celebrate his extraordinary life and legacy. Comrade Al-Akkad's dedication to the cause of justice serves as a guiding light for all who strive for a world free from oppression and inequality.

Though he may no longer be with us, Comrade Al-Akkad's spirit lives on in the struggle for a free Palestine and a just world. We honor his memory by renewing our commitment to the principles for which he so tirelessly fought.

Rest in power, Comrade Al-Akkad. Your legacy will continue to inspire us in the ongoing struggle for justice and liberation.

In solidarity,

The International Department of the Central Organizing Committee (IDCOC) of the Communist Party of Kenya (Majority)

Expose and Defeat US Imperialism, the Primary Aggressor Against Humanity May 26th, 2026   Nepal is a land of immense revolutionary history and immense contradiction. The mountains of Nepal carry the memory of armed struggle, sacrifice, and the blood of workers and peasants who rose against feudal monarchy and imperialist domination.
