We, the Communist Party of Kenya, extend our warmest welcome to General Secretary Xi Jinping following the successful conclusion of his visit to Africa. This visit marks a significant step towards strengthening the ties between the people of China and the nations of Africa, as we continue to forge a path of solidarity, cooperation, and mutual benefit.

General Secretary Xi's visit not only reaffirms the enduring friendship between our nations but also underscores our shared commitment to fostering development, peace, and progress on the African continent. The discussions held during this visit have provided a platform for fruitful exchanges, which we believe will lead to enhanced collaboration in areas of common interest, such as trade, infrastructure development, and socio-economic advancement.

We would also like to take this opportunity to applaud the efforts of the BRICS initiative—a progressive and promising alternative financial architecture that challenges the longstanding domination of the US dollar. The BRICS framework, comprising Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa, offers a fresh perspective on global economic governance, striving for fairness, inclusivity, and balanced representation. This initiative not only empowers emerging economies but also seeks to address the historical imbalances that have hindered our nations' growth.

The Communist Party of Kenya commends the commitment of the BRICS nations to uphold the principles of equality and non-interference while promoting sustainable development and a multipolar world. We firmly believe that the evolving global landscape requires innovative solutions, and the BRICS initiative presents a vital step in the right direction.

As we move forward, we look forward to continued cooperation with China and other like-minded nations to create a world that values solidarity over division, cooperation over confrontation, and progress over stagnation. The visit of General Secretary Xi and the momentum of the BRICS initiative invigorate our aspirations for a better future for all.

In solidarity,

2nd Central Organizing Committee, of

Communist Party of Kenya

LETTER TO THE GLOBAL NORTH
05 May 2026 14:16

Comrades, We address you at a historical precipice. The global capitalist system, in its advanced stage of heightened imperialism, is characterized by deepening crises and escalating violence. The centers of imperial power—Washington, Brussels, London, Paris are intensifying their efforts to maintain a hegemony that is increasingly contested. In the Global South, we are the primary targets of this aggression. The mechanisms of our oppression are calculated and brutal. We are strangled by illegitimate debt, wielded not as economic aid, but as a weapon of political control by institution [ ... ]
