Together, let's eliminate, once and for all, one of the most deep-seated fears in the living memory of the peoples of the world, namely expansionism and forcible territorial acquisition.

Receive revolutionary greetings form the entire leadership and membership of the Communist Party of Kenya.

First and foremost, we wish Frente  POLISARIO a resounding success on its 16th National Congress, Congress Emhammed Jadad, which is taking place from 13th to 17th January 2023, in the Wilaya of Dakhla (Saharawi refugee camps, Tindouf, Southwest Algeria).

Frente POLISARIO will grow from strength to strength in influencing, advancing and defending the right of the Saharawi people to self-determination and independence. Polisario is a freedom movement, and they are justified to use any means available to fight for their right to statehood, land and dignity.

We condemn the Kingdom of Morocco. These occupiers represent the worst of humanity. They are predators who have deployed forces to rob and exploit the people of Saharawi. They will soon be defeated and POLISARIO will triumph because they are fighting a just war: a war for their independence and self-determination.

Having suffered under the savagery of British colonialism, the lesson by all former colonies is harsh but true: no oppressed people have received their dignity by appealing to the oppressor's conscience. Everything we have gotten for people has been a product of our struggle. As we sympathise with the people of Saharawi, we reiterate our urgent call for a peaceful referendum to enable the Saharawi people to exercise their absolute right to self-determination, freedom of conscience and self-rule.

The problem of decolonization of Western Sahara is first an African problem, and it is up to us to find solutions. By standing in solidarity, we make this our fight, too. The CPK, being a founding member of the Kenya-Western Sahara Solidarity Committee (KWSSC), will continue to initiate new linkages and strengthen the already existing Solidarity Organizations with the people of Western Sahara in Africa. We want to work in a central, organized, coordinated way to give a final blow to colonialism.

Finally, the Communist Party of Kenya will continue to demand an immediate end to all human rights violations meted upon the innocent Saharawi People by the Kingdom of Morocco

Long live the Frente  POLISARIO!

Long live  Western Sahara!

Down with Morocco Occupation!

Down with Colonialism!

The Rise of Mental Health NGOs in Kenya: Analyzing the Socio-Economic Factors Co...
18 Apr 2024 11:59

In contemporary Kenya, the landscape of mental health care has seen a notable influx of non-governmental organizations (NGOs) dedicated to addressing the pressing issues surrounding mental well-being. These NGOs, often reliant on funding from capitalist donors, have positioned mental healthcare as a critical societal challenge demanding urgent attention. While their efforts to provide counseling programs and therapy services are commendable, it is imperative to scrutinize the underlying causes of the mental health crisis in Kenya, particularly within the context of a capitalist society where w [ ... ]

The Communist Party of Kenya and the Left Alliance for National Democracy and Socialism (LANDS) demand that the Kenya Kwanza government and Jamaica Labour Party rescind their commitment to lead and participate in a deployment of armed personnel to Haiti. We call on the Kenyan and Jamaican people to join the Haitian masses and popular progressive forces worldwide in opposing the intervention, continued occupation and neo-colonial governance of Haiti by the Core Group[1] and the UN. We oppose the actions of CARICOM members, following a meeting in Jamaica that included the USA, France and Cana [ ... ]

Doctors' Strike: President Ruto's Hypocrisy Exposed
12 Apr 2024 11:59

The Communist Party of Kenya stands in resolute solidarity with the striking doctors and workers across Kenya, condemning the bourgeoisie state's flagrant disregard for the rights and well-being of the working class.  President Ruto's administration, serving the interests of big capital, has prioritized the enrichment of the elite while neglecting the basic needs of the people. President Ruto's plea for doctors to "live within our means" while simultaneously pandering to big capital is a stark display of hypocrisy. While urging austerity measures on the working class, his administration has  [ ... ]
